Nodar Javakhishvili inspected disaster relief works in Guria region
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili visited the disaster-affected region of Guria. Minister was acquainted with the disaster relief efforts in various municipalities of Guria region.
Vani - Sulori road is open
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili, visited Vani-Sulori highway. Minister personally coordinates the works for repairing the road and restoration of the traffic on the damaged section.
Vani-Sulori road (12th km) was damaged as a result of three days heavy rain and the traffic was banned.
As a result of the working of the relevant services in non-stop mode during 2 days, the road was restored and currently the road is open.

due to the disaster, opening of the 11- kilometer stretch of the high speed highway (Kutaisi bypass 9 kilometers, Samtredia-Grigoleti 2 kilometers) was postponed.
Relevant departments and local authorities are in the western regions of Georgia, and are working hard for liquidation the results of heavy rain.
According to the order of the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, The high officials of the government will visit all the regions affected by the disaster, in order to coordinate the disaster relief works.
Nodar Javakhishvili personally coordinates disaster relief efforts in Guria region
All of the municipalities were affected by by rainfall in Guria region. Landslides occured in the villages of Ozurgeti Municipality. Bridges and agriculture lands are ruined as a result of heavy rains in Lanchkhuti and Ozurgeti municipalities.
In all municipalities of Guria road surfaces are damaged. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Nodar Javakhishvili is on the spot, together with local authorities. Minister personally coordinates disaster relief efforts in Guria region

The road is opened in Dariali
Today, July 6, Dariali road was opened. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili, Secretary of State Security and Crisis Management Council Mindia Janelidze, and chairman of the Roads Department, George Seturidze coordinate the ongoing works in the Dariali Gorge.
Traffic is allowed with special schedule for all types of vehicles. The special service of the Interior Ministry controls the movement of vehicles.
In particular, from 05:30 am to 08:00 pm movement of all types of vehicles is allowed in the following rules:
Natanebi River and Black Sea Coast not to face danger of being contaminated by wastes any more
Ilia Darchiashvili, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund have conducted the site visit for installation works of trash racks in Natanebi riverbed, Shekvetili.
Above referenced works are being executed within the program of preparatory measures for tourism season and arrangements to be conducted against contamination of the Black Sea coast.
Statement of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia a significant amount of atmospheric precipitation is forecasted in East of Georgia on 4 – 7 July which may cause landslide and mudflow. Considering the above forecast and with the purpose of avoiding possible threats, Roads Department of Georgia under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia decided to limit road traffic in Dariali gorge. The traffic will be open after the respective agencies exclude the above mentioned threats.
Ambassador of the European Union was satisfied with the pace of construction of Samtredia Grigoleti road
First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili and EU Ambassador Janos Herman visited Samtredia Grigoleti section of the high speed highway of Georgia.
Disaster-damaged bridge was opened in Samtredia
Deputy Minister of Regional Development and InfrastructureTengiz Shergelashvili, together with the governor of Imereti Givi Chichinadze opened the renewed bridge, which connects two villages of Samtredia municipality.
Bridge connects villages of Samtredia municipality Tolebi and Bughnara to each other. Old Bridge was damaged by the flood in 2014. 900 inhabitants from two villages will use the renewed bridge. It is important that the bridge is the shortest connecting way to Chokhatauri municipality.
